Acquaintace With The Night Analysis part 6 In this part i will give more critical analysis of this poem. So here we are.... The Critical Analysis of this poem A. Alliteration Aliteration is the repetition of the same sound at the beginning of words. in this poem i found a alliteration in the first stanza. I have been one acquainted with the night. I have walked out in rain - and back in rain. I have outwalked the furthest city light. In the second line we could easily to know the repetition. rain was repeated two times. B.   Atmosphere Atmosphere is the general tone and mood of a work of art. In this poem i found one thing that shows the atmosphere. It's on first lane of second stanza. I have looked down the saddest city lane That line shows that the speaker felt how sad the city was. Then the speaker gave explanation in second line of third stanza. Rhyme Rhyme is the similar sound of words in line of poetry. for the example like the end of the lines, but rhyme is not only in the end of lines which name is Tail rhyme.There's also rhyme within words of line which called Internal rhyme. Rhythm and Meter Based on book Concise Companion to Literature, Rhythm is generally established by manipulating both the pattern of accent and number of syllables in a given line. Then meter refers to predominant rhythmic pattern within any given line (or lines) of poetry. So we can conclude that rhythm and meter is the pattern of accent within the syllables on the line of poetry. and here it is my analysis of rhythm and meter of this poetry.
